Caleb Quinley is a freelance journalist based in Bangkok. He writes on Southeast Asia with a focus on Thailand. He was raised in both rural and urban Thailand and has long been interested in regional affairs, politics, and contemporary issues that are changing the region. At university, he studied journalism and photography. He covers state violence, dissident culture, and many other human rights focused issues. Caleb has developed a strong interest in the effects of growing authoritarianism in Southeast Asia, covering stories that look at the human cost of repressive governments.
