Anna Lawattanatrakul is a Bangkok-based journalist writing for Prachatai English, a non-profit news outlet covering political and social issues. Anna covers LGBTQ rights, gender equality movements, and community rights. In 2021, she was part of the team winning Amnesty International Thailand’s Human Rights Media Award for an investigation into the disappearance of activist in exile Wanchalearm Satsaksit. In 2020, Anna was shortlisted for Asia Centre and Oxfam’s 2019 – 2020 Journalism for An Equitable Asia Award.
